Discover this jewel that is the Causapscal River. Nestled in the steep mountains, on this magnificent river, entirely wild, there are several salmon pools and rapids of good importance. Landing point is Pointe du Curé.

Matapedia River

Our two independent packages for those who already have a minimum of experience

You will go down the magnificent Matapedia River from its confluence with the Causapscal River from the #94 pool (Peter's) to the Routhierville bridge or either from the village of Sainte Florence to routhierville.
You will discover the river under several landscapes as well as its salmon pools where sportsmen tease the king of the waters. 

These 22 and 12 km packages allow you to paddle on the river while enjoying the beauty of nature and relax in an enchanting environment. 

When you arrive at the Routhierville bridge you will only have to walk a short distance to the lodge to come and relax on the terrace. whit an aperitif.

Code of Ethics for Canoe and Kayak Users

On the Matapedia River as well as on all the rivers of the Gaspé Peninsula, there are many users, the main one being salmon fishermen.

These users practice this activity either by wading or by canoe and pay significant amounts to come and practice this fishing either alone or with a guide. 

Having access to it is a privilege and the users have obligations and rules to respect among themselves for a healthy cohabitation.

Obligations and rules to respect for the paddlers;

• Notify the fishermen of your arrival in a fishing pool

• Never cross a pool in the centre if there are fishermen

• Always pass behind the fishermen or on the opposite bank 

• Be polite and have good interpersonal manners

• Bring back your cigarette butts and your garbage

Obligations and rules for fishermen and guides;

• At all times, respect the paddlers' users.

• Facilitate the passage of paddlers in a respectful and courteous manner

This package allows you to learn more about Atlantic salmon.

Duration: 7 to 8 hours

You will have the chance to see it in its natural habitat with your face in the water. That's the best way to get a good look at him. You'll feel like you're part of the school of salmon. You will visit beautiful salmon pools at the foot of waterfalls that are found in the streams and rivers that flow into the Matapedia River.
